NIGHT OF INTERESTING WIND INSTRUMENTS

Duo Oba entertained the crowd at Jurček stage. “You think this is fun?” joked Boštjan Gombač while playing on two flutes with his nose! As a regular visitor of the festival, he remembered of all the tragicomic events that are today a pleasant memory and a good base for future work. The duo proved they truly are unique by performing with numerous unusual instruments that left the crowd astonished. Besides the flutes, the artists used a saw as a violin, which travelled from Slovenia to India and back and is the first Russian electronic instrument.

After the performance, we moved to Večer stage and listed to the rock rhythms of Croatian band Lollobrigida and Pipschips & videoclips. Different in genre, the concert in Spiegel tent was also a hit. Sounds of drums, saxophones, flute and electric guitar entertained the dancing crowd, as Vasko Atanasovski trio introduced their new album Come to me. "Lent is interesting every year. I am also happy to see this new concert venue,” said Vasko Atanovski, a regular performer at the festival. The creative energy of the trio was also felt by the audience. "That was just phenomenal! I had to buy the new CD," said visitor Matej.

Jazzlent also offered wind instruments’ music by introducing the band Adam Lane Full Throttle Orchestra. Trumpets, trombones and saxophones were accompanied by an incredible bass player that writes music for the band, and a crazy drummer. The band loved our country and dedicated one of the songs to Slovenia. "We visited other venues and listened to other performers and we agree this festival is wonderful. There are only a few festivals like yours, which includes good specific music and large crowds of visitors. It is good to be surrounded by happy faces that support the work of artists,” said Adam Lee.
