DESCRIPTION:Life is ... (short stories) is a collection of visual anecdotes about a very normal insanity of daily life. The stories are sometimes concrete, sometimes abstract, sometimes loud and sometimes quiet, sometimes funny and sometimes sad. Without words the artist involves himself with scourges, fears and hopes of a man who wants to break free from his chains and at the same time searches for support and security. The unique juggling style of Matthias Romir is incorporated into music and short video sequences (during longer performances), however, at the same time he develops it like means of communication, far away from dusty circus clichés. Matthias Romir grew up at European juggling festivals and as a child already discovered his love for stages. Romir is known for his innovative juggling styles in combination with a unique humour and wacky characters. His performances tell silent stories and awake the crowds.
