In 2011 he received the Prešeren award, he published many CDs and celebrated his 60th anniversary – excellent reasons to take over this year’s Jazz podium. And if Kaučič joins forces with two of the most important Slovenian wind players and calls the project »Blow your brains out!«, then this is either a sign of the turbulent times we live in or a forecast that the trio of winds and drums will overcome us very fiercely. Or both.
