The recipe for their music would be the following: for the basis take the celtic traditional songs, but when you run out of them, drink a liter of whiskey and write your own song, then increase the tempo about 10 times and swap the old bearded men with a bunch of wild, drunk weasels, and just for the fun of it, give them drums, an electric guitar, a banjo, an accordion and a viola. Then pour a few liters of whiskey over it all and ... light a match.\n\nAlthough some may argue that Happy Ol' McWeasel has roots dating back to 2004, it was not until 2007 when a group of young experienced Slovenian musicians first stepped together on stage of a local club, that the journey really began for the band. The crowd reaction was so positive, they received an invitation to perform at one of the largest and longest running festivals in Slovenia; the Lent Festival in 2007. Thus began a period of a number of concerts, including more festivals, open air stages and clubs.\n\nChannelling the Celtic soul that proudly follows in the traditions of the Dropkick Muphys, Flogging Molly and The Real McKenzies, Slovenian folk punk heroes Happy Ol' McWeasel’s vibrant, whiskey soaked melodies are already revered around Southeastern Europe, having established the band as one of Slovenia’s biggest acts and their debut album ‘No Offence’ as one of the most anticipated released of 2012. Recorded by SAE award winner Martin Bezjak of Epix Productions and mastered by the legendary Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios, ‘No Offence’ taps this old world country vibe deploying the usual instrumental suspects and adding accordion, fiddle, and banjo to make for an authentic Celtic sound and most importantly, fun-loving tunes.\n\nTheir beer-fuelled, high-energy live performances could compel even the most morose of men to dance and have gained them spots playing with punk icons the Misfits, on Slovenian national television, headlining Lent Festival (the largest in Slovenia) and playing a New Years Eve concert in Maribor to 20.000 people. Blaze Bailey (ex-Iron Maiden vocalist) even joined them on stage for a song at their album release party. Having also garnered a significant international following on YouTube for their videos ‘Hairy Grizzly’ and ‘Irish Rover’, Happy Ol' McWeasel are clearly ready to bring their ruckus to the rest of the world and ‘No Offence’ is the album that’s going to unleash it.\n\nIn any case, it is a fresh approach to the seemingly forgotten art of creating a friendly, warm and fun drinking environment where the band integrates seamlessly with the audience for a simply unforgettable concert experience where everyone goes home happy (preferably in the arms of a fellow lass), singing the songs they just heard. And so the saga continues ... \n\nL’KOK (CRO) \n\n Ante Prgin (guitar), Saša Rogulić (bass), Viktor Grgas Grando (drums), Roko Frleta (vocals) \n\nThe band's beginnings extend back into the year 2010, when Roga, Ante and Viktor first got together to make music. A few months later destiny saw to it that Roko and his vocals swiftly joined the band. To date, they have had several performances in Šibenik and other Croatian cities (Split, Zagreb, ...). The band claim they are not sure how to describe their music: a kind of rock with a trace of funk and dance rhythms, and with tough, solid guitar riffs. \n\n ORGANIZER;CN="PIVOVARNA LAŠKO": END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
