DESCRIPTION:Choir: Seconds CS, Junior CS\n\nMusic project, adapted from ANNE OF GREEN GABLES\n\n Elaine and Norman Campbel got the inspiration for the musical Anne of Green Gables while reading a children’s book by  Lucy Maud Montgomery.\n\nThe story is about an 11-year-old Anne Shirley that is different from other girls: she is thin with freckles and red hair and lives in an orphanage. One day, she is sent to Green Gables to live with an elderly couple. Although Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert expected a boy, they fall in love with Anne immediately and decide to keep her. Anne, that never stops talking, adapts quickly to the new environment. She becomes friends with Diane and rivals with classmate Gilbert, who always teases her about her red hair. The story describes their everyday lives, relationships and growing up.\n\n\n\nThe musical Anne of Green Gables was staged for the first time in Canada in 1964. Its instant popularity resulted in several adaptations, movies and TV series. It was translated into more than twenty languages. The songs were translated into Slovene by Jože Humer.
