Medinteran is the title of the musical journey through the Mediterranean. Istria, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Montenegro, Turkey, Greece, southern and northern Italy, Provence, Spain … are lands through which singer Klarisa Jovanović and her accompanying group Della Segodba are travelling. The folk heritage of the mentioned lands is enriched by the song of Spanish Jews who scattered around Europe after being deported from Spain in 1492. The singer is singing in the original languages, the instrumentalists who are sticking to the basic melodies and rhythms sometimes slip into jazz and other waters. The various poetics flow together into a sweet and intoxicating potion, into honey wine, into honey and teran. A band is formed, filigreed and luxurious, stretched between the Latin West and Levant, with the touch of Slavic roots which intertwine a big part of eastern Adriatic and its surrounding.
Entrance with Lenta or day ticket.
