The music created by The Artbeaters is based on jazz, which is no surprise, considering the fact that the members of the band are academically educated musicians. However, you won't find a trace of traditional jazz in their musical arrangements. They cannot define themselves in terms of any genre, as their music encompasses d'n'b, reggae, fusion, funk, house, afro beat, jazz, rock, ... The best term to describe it is fusion, and the tunes they produce are complex, yet listenable. What is most important, though, beside the originality of the band's compositions, is that on stage they generate an energy that fills the whole room. The response of their audience at the concerts has so far always been amazingly positive. After two years of creating music they recorded their first album with the title Garden of adventure.
