DJANE SISTA
Djane Sista fell in love with music through dancing at an early age. Later, she began collecting vinyl records and soon, her love for music led her behind the turntables. She became the first Slovene d’n’b DJ, co-founder and a member of place4bass. She also organized the first and only d’n’b event at the castle of Ljubljana.
After a short break, she discovered a new genre, dubstep. Fascination with the power of the bassbass and limitless possibilities of mixing in other genres motivated her to become a DJ herself. During her performances in Slovenia and abroad, she shared the stage with numerous influential artists, such as Stamina MC, Patife, Marky, Killawatt, Seven, Son of Kick, David boom, Edo Maajka, Kandžija, Frankie, Baga Sound, Illbillyhitec, Roots in Session and many others.
Today, she works with DJs Roots in Session and Krunch IT! Her DJ sets are known for precisely selected music with a dubstep base and she also explores more gentle versions of UK-Funky, 4x4, and classic roots/reggae music, which she supports with a solid technique of mixing. Besides creating numerous sets, she was also involved in creating Riddim Operator Show at Radio Študent.
FREEVERSE, SUNNEH, COOKIE
Freeverse, Sunneh and Cookie are strongly related to Slovenian bass scene. Being brought up by the alternative club scene, the guys developed a love for dubstep and bass related sounds. Due to a slow decline in the popularity of dubstep, they are discovering contemporary dubstep bass sounds, served with an eclectic mix of various, mostly broken genres. Therefore, they produce a wide range of bpm, dictated by trap/dubstep/footwork/glitch/hiphop and other futuristic genres.
